Every piece is inspected and thoughtfully described before it finds its next home.
For pre-loved, vintage, and upcycled pieces, signs of previous wear or characteristics of the original material may be part of their story. We aim to describe each item honestly and clearly so you can shop with confidence.
Condition Ratings
| Condition | Description |

| New | Unused and unworn, with tags not attached or not included. |
| New with Tags | Unused and unworn, with original tags attached. |
| Excellent | Very lightly used with minimal signs of previous wear. No significant issues affecting appearance, wear, or function. |
| Very Good | Gently used with minor signs of wear consistent with previous use. |
| Good | Shows noticeable signs of previous use but remains wearable or functional. Wear, imperfections, or age-related characteristics are consistent with the overall condition of the piece. |
| Fair | Shows significant signs of wear, age, or previous use but remains wearable or functional. |
Product Characteristics
These terms describe the history, age, or creation of a piece and are not condition ratings. They may be used alongside a condition rating.
Pre-Loved
Pre-loved pieces are previously owned items that have had a previous life.
A pre-loved piece may be unworn, lightly used, or previously worn and may still have its original tags attached.
Its condition is assessed using the condition ratings above. A pre-loved piece may be New with Tags, New, Excellent, Very Good, Good, or Fair, depending on its history and current condition.
Vintage
Vintage pieces are older pieces valued for their age, character, design, or history.
Age is not the same as condition. A vintage piece may be unused or previously worn and may or may not have its original tags.
Its condition is assessed using the condition ratings above.
Vintage pieces may naturally have characteristics such as fading, softening, patina, or variations in color and texture. When these are consistent with the age and character of a piece, we may describe them as age-appropriate wear rather than flaws.
Upcycled
Upcycled pieces are created by thoughtfully transforming an existing garment, textile, or material into something new.
Because upcycled pieces may incorporate pre-loved materials, they may have characteristics of their original life, such as variations in texture, color, stitching, fading, or minor signs of previous wear.
Upcycled is not a condition rating. The finished piece may be described as New, Excellent, Very Good, Good, or Fair depending on its final condition.
Handcrafted by Maynami
Handcrafted pieces are thoughtfully designed and made by Maynami, with each piece created or finished by hand by Maynesha, Founder & Creative Director of Maynami.
Because handmade pieces are individually created, slight variations in stitching, placement, texture, finish, or appearance may occur. These natural variations are part of the character of a handcrafted piece and are not necessarily considered imperfections.
Handcrafted by Maynami is not a condition rating. The finished piece will be assigned an appropriate condition rating based on its current state.
About Imperfections
An item may have a specific imperfection without its overall condition being classified as Fair.
The condition rating reflects the overall state of the piece, including normal signs of wear, age, use, or minor imperfections appropriate to that rating.
Photos are provided to help show the piece and its condition as accurately as possible. Customers should review all available photos carefully before purchasing.
New & New with Tags
New and new-with-tags items may have slight imperfections from storage, handling, or try-on that do not affect functionality or intended use.
